Bible Note: True Christians were extremely courageous in Nazi Germany. They were determined to give Hitler's things to Caesar and God's things to God. They would not support his violence and were thus persecuted, even killed. If God has a special need to see a particular man in power or not, He'll find a way to get him there or not. That doesn't change a Christian's responsibility. Although God may have asked the Israelites to "go to war," the victory was never their's, but God would defeat their enemies through miraculous means. We are in a spiritual warfare in which Satan uses political strife and carnal wars to test our integrity. The Bible's counsel to Christians is clear, and I've never found anyone that can Scripturally refute it. |
