Bible Note: Wait one minute there is a great distance between exercising liberty by casting a vote and campaigning either positively or negatively for a person. In one your fulfilling your obligation as a citizen the other you getting actively involved in the campaign process which may or may not be edifying for a Christian. You keep going back to the past sins and using this in you argument. Yes United States was founded by men and in some cases some of these men didn’t always act in a Christian manner. Does that make the whole process wrong? I think not. God had charged each of us to stand before him and to give an account. What sins may have been committed in the past by others are not charged to our account. We are to be a light and salt unto this world therefore we need to call sin, sin and righteousness, righteousness. We are given a voice both physically and in our government. Both of our voices should be heard. Look at John the Baptist he called sin, sin. Look at Paul he called sin, sin and in doing so Paul used the political process to preserve his life and carry his message to Rome. EdB |
