Subject: Denounce militant Islam? |
Bible Note: Norrie - I don't think it is a just a matter of denouncing or condoning evil. As believers we are to admonish one another when we see a brother fall into sin. Imo, everyone we encounter falls into one of two categories, the saved or the lost. Just because one is a follower of Islam, does not make him/her also a terrorist; but it does mean that he/she is separated from God. Here is a post I sent to Country Girl on this issue: We are told to test the spirits and "every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world." 1 John 4:1-3 According to this definition, the religion of Islam, militant or peaceful IS antichrist - its followers are lost and in need of rescue. I agree we must tread lightly, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." Mt 10:16 . . . but also we must stand boldly here, knowing that our efforts will have eternal consequences. Mt 10:28 mommapbs |
