Bible Question (short): Is killing scriptual in theNEW TESTAMENT

Question (full): Does anyone know of any scriptual basis for killing another human being in the NEW TESTAMENT? I find it hard to teach about "love your enemies" when so many seem to think that it is justified to kill others in war or by abortion or by neglecting to help them from disease or starvation. Do I call those that do such things in the name of God hypocrites or have they got some justification for their beliefs.
