Answers, I would think the covenant was broken by the adultery, but restored by the repentance and reconciliation of the husband and wife. I do not think you need to get married again. But I understand your feelings in this matter. One of the practical benefits of the sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession for Catholics is that it can bring closure and a word of forgiveness and a sense of restoration from God through the Church and those who minister in it in these kind of situations. dear Emmaus thank you for your kind words "i understand your feelings" and i have confided with a brother to whom i am held accountable in my christian walk with God.this whole matter happend over a year ago but i was not to sure about my vows, but i guess that "wear sin aboundith grace aboundith even more" and "if we confess our sins God is just and faithfiul to forgive us our sins and to cleans us from all un righteousness" deep down i have known that my Father has restored our marriage i guess i just wanted to hear someone elses comment.thank you once again and God bless you. |
