1 | Can a divorced person remarry? | 1 Cor 7:15 | Kandola | 325
Yes...a divorced person can remarry. The bible says that anyone who divorces for any reason then adultry will commit adultry if they remarry. But...the bible also teaches that if we confess our sins we are forgiven by our loving Savior Jesus Christ. I myself am divorced and I believe that Jesus has forgiven my sin and no human has the right to judge me. I am covered by the Grace of my Heavenly Father!

Kandola ... While forgiven, you must bear the consequence of the divorce. We do have the right to judge. Even the context of Mat. 7, we have to know who dogs and hogs are ( I am not calling you either). Read Mat. 18 - where I see men judging. Nonetheless - the Bible is very clear that God hates divorce ... He granted divorce in the case of adultery, because of the hardness of the heart (of the "innocent" spouse). Now if you were a non-Christian at the time of divorce you may be able to remmarry. If you were a Christian and your spouse wasn't and they left you and filed for divorce, the Bible says you are free to marry another. |
