Hi, Norrie! I understand your frustration! But there is no Command from Jesus to use hatred or confrontational tactics against those who persecute Christians: Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:14, 17-21) As Tim Morant mentioned, Christians are bound by the Word and while governments must, at times, resort to violence to achieve peace (preservation) in no way does that means that they must operate in an all-out genocidal assault! Sadly, the problem with the terrorist machine is that fake religion has been breeding killers who believe that they are the hand of their god and that all, including defenseless infants and the elderly are justified targets of their hatret... This problem (their continual assault on life) is not endemic of Christendom! It has been fomented by a society that hates: exalting murderers as just killers while thirsting for the demise of all whom they deem insignificant. Ever remember reading some idiotic nonsense about how America caused the cowrdly assault on September eleven? Ever seen the media portraying terrorists in a bad light?, sanctioning any of their atrocities?, divulging their plans/whereabouts?, seeking to get to the bottom of their cowardice (the killing babies and other non-military people)?, ever seen the world's opinion (all those bleeding-heart activists) criticise any terrorist/s for dismembering or decapiting infants or any other people? The terrorists' agenda has never been peace! That is crystal clear, as History has witnessed their assaults taking place while others were in the midst of peace accord councils! They are ever eager to shed innocent blood, but they never confront their oppressive governments (as testefied by Saddams oppression and exploitations and others like him)! These people hide behind the farce of a religion that is more interested in keeping the status quo, then feeding their children or providing education/medicine for the needy. As Christians we are Commanded by Christ Himself to love our enemy and those who persecute us (Matthew 5:43-48)... As Americans, if we are called by our government to defend the nation against their evil assault we must be willing,as far as our abilities allows... but as Christians we cannot but pray for their enlightenment, offer them aide if they need it and we are able to provide it, and keep ourselves from seeking revenge (as it happened against some that were being held as POW)! God Bless! Angel |

Here's that article: The Chairman’s Report By Carter L. Clews September 6, 2004 Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em Islam… Islam… Islam… Islam… Islam… Islam is the single greatest threat to peace, freedom, and human life in the world today, and maybe even in our entire history; not “radical Islam,” not “hijacked Islam,” not “Islam perverted by a handful of fanatics”... Islam... period. There, I’ve said it – and I’m glad I did, because somebody has to. Either the Moslem world has to eschew the monsters who are wreaking such havoc in its name – or it has to sincerely question the basic tenants of a religion that would spawn such demon seed. There is no middle ground. Anyone who doubts that contention need only ask the grieving parents of the little children slain in the latest Islamic assault upon innocent victims. The sight of the bodies of those stripped, tortured, and slaughtered school children being carried from the carnage is enough to make any normal human sick. But it only excites the libidos and wets the appetites of the venal – and venerated -- apostles of Islam. John Kerry’s "limp-wristed", “Let’s fight a more sensitive war” statement can never apply in this war on terror because, Islam is not – repeat not – the religion of love. Maybe the Koran is actually a masterpiece of "make nice" -- And maybe Mohammed was the walking embodiment of "warm and fuzzy" -- But today’s Islam – the Islam that brutally slaughters all who dare disagree with one jot of its abhorrent teachings – is most certainly not the religion of love. Now, I can already hear the liberals whining about “bigotry,” “stereotyping,” and “sensitivity training.” Well, tell it to the Marines. And when you do, ask them how it feels to see crazed Moslems blow up buses full of innocent commuters – or gun down unarmed construction workers and hang their burned bodies from bridge abutments -- while the Mullahs and the masses cheer them on. The fact is, until the world’s practicing Moslems take to the streets to openly and angrily condemn their fellow "crazoids", they bear the blame and deserve the shame for the Islamic slaughters in Russia, Iraq, Iran, the Philippines, Indonesia, Israel, Spain, New York City -- and everywhere else today’s Islam rears its savage, brutal, bloodthirsty head. Let me be even more specific (and see if I can cause some liberal apoplexy). As far as the average observer can tell (folks like you and me), there are only four types of Moslems in today’s world: terrorists, those who incite terrorists, those who condone terrorists -- and that little tiny minority who on the very rarest of outrageous occasions meekly pipes up in muted protest. That, part and parcel, warp and woof, heart and soul is the only Islamic “look of love” the vast majority of us ever see. And it makes us sick. And so, we have to wonder, whose fault is that? Mine for noticing -- Yours for agreeing -- Or is it the fault of the world’s veiled and voiceless Moslems who won’t stand up and stop the slaughter? I think we all know the answer to that one. But, just in case you don’t (and to silence the liberals I can already hear hissing “racist” – or whatever other term they have for those who insist upon telling inconvenient, incontrovertible truths), let me tell you a little story from my own family history… In the 1930s, when Al Capone, Frank Nitti, and their band of bloody Italian terrorists threatened to rip the fabric of American society, they sent an emissary to see my immigrant grandfather, one Vincenzo Marciano of Washington’s Italian ghetto. The Black Hand’s hit man advised Granddad that he and his neighbors needed to set aside some of their hard-earned money each week to buy a little protection from the "Americanos" who were trying to take what they had. Well, Granddad asked for a little time to talk with his neighbors. He did so. And when the putrid punk returned, he told him, “You are a disgrace to our people and to all who struggled to come to this wonderful land. Here is the message for you to take to your capos: If you ever come here again, we will mail you back in little pieces. And if they come seeking revenge, we will hang them from the lamp posts. Now, leave while you still can.” In short, the only people who could truly fight Italian terrorism in the 1930s were the very people who did. And as the grandson of one who stood tall then, I don’t think it’s too much for me to ask the world’s Moslems to stand tall now. If they don’t, then, let’s start again at the top line -- until they get the bottom line: Islam is the single greatest threat to peace, freedom, and human life in the world today. And maybe even in our entire history. Now, put that in your "hubble bubble pipe" and smoke it, Akbar. And call us back when your get a clear head -- and heart. Carter Clews |

I can't believe I read the whole thing. Although there's a slight urge in me as a fellow human to agree with you, there's a Holy Spirit within me endorsing what my conscience is whispering. Yes, we see great cruelty and very horrible actions from the militant Islam but then so did those who lived through the Spanish Inquisitions and the Crusades before that. That's one of the world's most recurring themes throughout its history, the struggle depicted between good and evil but even so with all that as a given fact, we're still told by Christ, the Ruler of this world to "forgive our enemies and bless them that persecute us." I agree with you, sometimes this is VERY tough to do, especially with a genuine heart of love and NOT feel what our gut instinct tells us to feel. We must repeat over and over to ourselves that we must hate the sin but love the sinner, as does our God above. I was brought up in a military family and have been myself involved in supporting the military war machine in the overseas theatre and I do support our country's attempt to right the wrongs in the Middle East and try to get those folks started toward a more sane form of self government but we also should realize Christ's way is the best way. You post comes dangerously close to inciting a riot so I would remind you and all other readers only the "peacemakers will be called sons of God," Matt 5. After all, if we retaliate as you're suggesting, we're no better than the evil they are perpetrating on the world. Now, as a practical matter, I do hope and pray that countries across the globe will unite with us and try to form a united front and literally ostracize this terrorism element and try them for the crimes and carry out the proper punishment as determined by the courts. But this must be done with a focus on some semblence of justice instead of vengence. That's the only way, we could hope to get God's blessing on our actions. Blessings to you. Country Girl |

Greetings Country Girl - We are told to test the spirits and "every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world." 1 John 4:1-3 According to this definition, the religion of Islam, militant or peaceful IS antichrist - its followers are lost and in need of rescue. I agree we must tread lightly, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." Mt 10:16 . . . but also we must stand boldly here, knowing that our efforts will have eternal consequences. Mt 10:28 Blessings, mommapbs |
