Edmund Burke may be good philosopher, but our concern is sound Christian principles. Do you believe that much of the violence, immorality and other wickedness we are seeing was prophesied? If so, will we be able to stop it? If the Bible by divine wisdom has predicted the very things we are experiencing, then the best we can do is to ensure that we live (works) by faith. This will mean "real" life, eternal life, in the near future to us and all who imitate our example. Spreading the good news that God will soon put an end to all wickedness for the sake of those who want to live in godly peace is also a work that demonstrates faith. I contend that trying to stop prophetic conditions by becoming part of the "sea" of humanity alienated from God is a lack of faith. (Please read Isa 57:20,21; Rev 21:1) Jesus and his disciples used the gospel message to change all that would listen. As regards the rest, they shook the dust off their feet, knowing that God would deal with them soon enough. But getting involved in Roman politics? I think not! If you play in a pig pen, you can't help but soil yourself. Those that come out of the tribulation (yes, the problems will get worse before God's resolves matters) have washed their white robes in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev 7:9,14) Keep them clean and your reward will be great! |

We may not be able to stop what's coming in Revelation but I will go down doing my part, not sitting idly on sidelines waiting. Even voting is doing something.... | ||||||
