Bible Note: Dear Tim, "where is the verse which specifically states that Christ died only for some?" Your kidding........right? Well maybe your not. On the off chance that you are not "pulling my leg (grin) ", and if it pleases God, I will do my best to fill in the gap for you. :-) Matt 1:21 "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." The possesive pronoun "His" says it all. Jesus came to save a particular people. Those who, through faith, would believe. The names of these people had been written down in the Lamb's Book of Life (Rev 13:8) before the beginning of time (Eph 1:4). Therefore, given the fact that "His people" are a distinct group, and, that distincton seperates them from the rest of mankind, only blind adherense to tradition can prevent one from coming to the inevitable conclusion that Christ died only for some (i.e. His people). Because you asked for a single verse only, I will not burden you with all the rest. I must concede that I could not find a verse that answered your Question verbatim. :-) My Question to you is why would God pour out His fierce wrath on His Son in behalf of those whose names were never recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life? God Bless Tim, John |
