Subject: disciplerami, Are we sinful by nature? |
Bible Note: Greetings Disciplerami! Let's try a different approach. If man is not born with a corrupted nature, and if man has free will to choose right or wrong, then would it be possible for someone not to sin? Based upon the above criteria, one would have to say 'yes, it is possible'. However, this is a direct contradiction to Scripture which says that all have sinned. Further, it would mean that some might not need a Savior at all. Is this what you believe? Finally, you wrote: "With reference to Psalm 51, yes, David is confessing his sin. But he is not confessing that he was born sinful. That is not possible." What then was Paul confessing in Psalm 51:5? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
