Subject: Isn't Baptism neccessary for salvation?? |
Bible Note: Dear disciplerami, If baptism is a requirement for salvation (which I don't believe it is) then God would see to it that all of His people would be baptized. Jesus said: "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day." (John 6:44) Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith; "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." (Matt 1:21) God is in control of our salvation: Eph 1:11 "also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will,"; Phil 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. These verses clearly show that it is God who directs our steps. Personaly, if salvation was left in my hands, I would not have a snowball's chance in Death Valley in July! I strongly suggest you place your faith in what He has done; what He is doing and what He has promised that He will do. Looking Unto Jesus, John Reformed |
