Bible Note: Greetings Dalcent! Thanks for the response my friend! I just didn't want to assume to know what verses you were referencing! :-) That is why I asked for clarification. As I have mentioned before, I am not a Calvinist. Therefore, I certainly do believe that salvation can be rejected. So, I would totally agree with you that Christians are being discussed in 2 Pet. 2:20 and James 5:19-20. The only part we would apparently disagree on is what causes their states to be worse. Per Heb. 10:29, I would say that it is their ongoing rejection of Christ that causes breaks their relationship with Christ, not an act of sin. But, we are making progress!
