1 | Whose will causes a believer to sin? | Rev 13:8 | Morant61 | 88126
Greetings John! Paul argues in Rom. 9 for the Potter's right to use the clay as He sees fit. It does not say that God has the right to sin! James 1:13 says, "When tempted, no one should say, ??God is tempting me.? For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. " So, can God God not only tempt Adam and Eve, but ordain the act of sin which they commit? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

2 | Whose will causes a believer to sin? | Rev 13:8 | gracefull | 88182
Hi Tim, When Joe asks where did the desire to sin come from since they, Adam and Eve, did not have a fallen nature. Would this be comparable to the fall of Satan? Did not Satan have a free will and he chose to allow pride to cause him to rebel? If God had not said 'Of the tree of life you shall not eat'...to eat would not have been sin. It became sin when man chose to disobey..regardless of the reason? To eat is not sin...to eat when God said NO is sin. Paul said that if it had not been for the law, there would be no knowledge of sin Romans 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Adam and Eve had only one law but they broke it. Sin was then imputed. This debate seems to trip on the free will of man just as the one on election.. Comments? God bless, |
