Bible Note: Graceful Ask yourself one question in all of this. Did Samuel tell the future or not? He did! He told him he and his sons would die the next day. Satan could not have known that. Only God knows the future because God is omnipresent He transcends time. Satan is not omnipresent therefore the future is a mystery to him. Samuel spoke the future to Saul that could only come from one place God. Secondly there is no biblical basis for the assumption that Satan controls dead souls. You keep using Satan's jurisdiction, please go back and read the opening chapters of Job. We know little of Satan but from the interaction between God and him in these first few chapters of Job we see Satan does nothing that God doesn’t give him permission to. Satan is a created being and he is in some degree of subjection to God, look how he reports, and answers God questions. You say Satan is under our feet. I know that is a song many sing but in fact Satan is not under our feet. At the present he is heaven accusing the saints. Rev. 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. There is no Biblical basis for the belief that Satan is under our feet. He stands accusing us and Jesus our high priest makes intercession for us. Hebrews 8:1 Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, EdB |
