Bible Note: Hi Ed. "Hint he was to watch over the garden." Genesis 1 26 Then God said, "Let (1) Us make (2) man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them (3) rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Ed, the scripture in Colossians 1:13 says He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transfeed us into the Kingdom of His dear Son. Acts 26:18 "...I am sending you to open the eyes; so that they will turn from the power (jurisdiction, authority) of the Adversary to God.." Ephesians 1:21 "..far above principalities and powers..." We are looking at 'delegation' not usurping authority. God's supremacy is not, nor has ever been in question, but He by covenant has delegated His people to rise above the authority(dominion) of Satan. From verse 13 of Colossians it would seem that before Jesus, all mankind was held captive by Satan through our sin nature. In light of this when did man come under Satan's dominion and NEED a redeemer if not at the fall of Adam? Let me ask you...Where did the dead in faith go before Jesus was raised from the dead? No doubt they died 'in faith' awaiting the promise...Yeshua! Our sin nature made us subject to Satan. Jesus' redemptive work transfered us from Satan's kingdom to the Kingdom of God. Unfortunately, many of God's people's lives are stil captive to Satan through his lies(not captive from eternal life, but captive from deliverance and victory in this life)not realizing Jesus has already delivered them. AGAIN: God's supremacy is not, nor has ever been in question, but He by covenant has delegated His people to rise above the authority(dominion) of Satan. God has NEVER not been final authority, and by His final authority He provided His covenant. Neither Satan nor man can undo the covenant God made. Man can reject it...but man can not undo it. As I sated when I first came to the forum...God IN His sovereignty established covenants (with conditions to be met by both parties) with man from Adam to us(through Jesus) and He honors His covenant with His life to all that enter in through the blood by faith.
