Scripture ... Mar 7:4, Luk 11:38, Heb 9:10 Did you look up all the references of baptizo? Read these three ... Mark 7:4 "And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables." Are tables dipped or immersed to clean them? Luke 11:38 "And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner." Are we dipped or immersed before we eat? Hebrews 9:10 "Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation." The refers back to the Old Testament washings were signs pointing to the washing away of our sins by Christ's atonement. Searcher |
Bible Answer: Searcher56, where does Mark 7:4 say anything about 'tables?' I've looked at the Greek and see nothing about 'tables?' The only thing mentioned in the Greek is the 'cups', 'utensils', and 'bronze vessels.' Is your question based upon a variant reading?
