In order to fully understand a Greek word, we must look at all instances. In this case, if we exclude the verses I cited, we could be led astray. While you don't have a Greek keyboard, you could cite Strong's number. If you think they are different, determine the difference, similarities and roots ... as well as, how each word is translated into English. There has been at least one translator thrown out of a country (Indonesia), when he refused to translate baptizo into their word for washing. |
Bible Answer: I really do understand your point but I kindly ask that you would look at the specific word (not the strong's number) because you would see that they are different!!!!!! The word used in mark 7 is 11 characters long and the other one is shorter. Please seek to understand how the words are used in such instances. The teachings about immersion is clear. |
