Bible Question:
You didn't answer my question ... While "the Law was given to the Children of Israel" ... does it mean we should not obey it? Answer "yes" or "no" |
Bible Answer: The OT law said "Thou shalt not kill." "Neither shalt thou commit adultery." " Neither shalt thou steal." etc. etc. Now that we are no longer under law, but under grace (Rom. 6:15) is it now ok to kill, commit adultery, steal, etc? It is obvious that it is just as wrong today to commit any of these acts, as it was when these laws were given. Rom. 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matt. 5:17-19 |
