Subject: When did the catholic church go wrong? |
Bible Note: Ok Emmaus, Here you go! "I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He will bring about at the proper time- He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen." At best, Mary was a disciple of Jesus Christ. NOWHERE in Scripture, even in the verses that you have cited is there any mention AT ALL of Mary possibly being anything more than a disciple of Jesus Christ. To say that Mary was the "Queen of Heaven" or "New Ark of the Covenant" or "Mother of God" is to apply titles to her that is completely based upon your speculation and cannot be gathered from Scripture alone! I ask you to support your claims by using Scripture verses and not on your flawed and faulty Catholic tradition. Where does it say that Mary is the "Queen of Heaven" in the Bible? Not in my Bible, the New American Standard Version.. - Nolan |
