Bible Question:
First let me say I am not attempting to defend the Catholic Church in any fashion, shape or form. My question. Since the Catholic Church grew out of the first century church and later was felt to be in need of reformation, what and when do you feel was the first error that entered the church? Was that error ever dealt with at a later time and what was the result? Second question Without going through all of Luther's points what was the biggest problem and when did it manifest itself within the church? |
Bible Answer: I read where the RCC didn't actually come into being till Constantine converted around 300AD. I posted an article on The Bones of Peter earlier that was showing how Peter never even made it to Rome anyway. Saw a handout today that said infant baptist was decreed in 431, 500 was when mass was instituted and 1000 was when it became mortal sin not to attend. 1231 was inquisition. I don't have handout in front of me so dates may be a few yrs off but close. :) I know-DUCK!!! I'm fixin to get clobbered!!! |
