Subject: Searching for the truth |
Bible Note: George, I thank God for your spirit of understanding. I know that you are trying to protect the truth, so you may have thought I was trying to twist scripture. But now that we have both committed to the Holy Spirit, I feel that we can come to 'one mind one accord.' We may have different point of views on things, but we got to remember, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, not what we understand. Just like when Paul said "Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."(KJV) If we can keep this is mind, then we can know who is in control. Anyone else, who reads this, lets us keep in mind that God is not a respecter or persons, so even though we have a better understanding, it does not make us better than the other. I have learned from experience that when I was unclear about something, man didn't give me a better understanding. And to tell you the truth, God didn't either. He just said, "Do you trust me?" Right there and then he eased my spirit. I know that there are false prophets out there, but we have to discern them by the Holy Spirit, not by our intuition. The Holy Spirit would make us humble, not contending in bitter arguments that lead to ungodliness. There so much I have to say on how Christians today are being religious instead of walking in truth. So what’s the truth? JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blessed, Richard |
