I am a Pastor of our children's church. My wife and I have been fighting in court for the guardianship of our grandson from our daughter, who is am recent drug addict, but is well on the road to recovery, and the boy's father, who is a drug addict, and an Indian and who has been in and out of prison since he was a boy himself. We have the boy and have had him for 6 1/2 years. The father is contesting our guardianship, not because he wants him to raise, he does not want the boy, he just does not want us to raise him. We, with God's help, are keeping custody of him for his own protection.
I was recently registered with your group but due to some unforeseen circumstances(my computer crashed), I was removed from all contact. I have only recently been able to get the computer back on line and up to now, have not been able to remember what groups I was attached to. I go to so many Bible sites that it is sometimes hard to remember just which ones I am on. I enjoy your group and hope this does not happen again.
