Bible Question (short): What day do YOU attend church? |
Question (full): Dear djconklin, Greetings in the name of Jesus! Friend, I see that you are being very careful to only answer the 'whole' question originally asked by cd3 back in April. You have made the point that Colossians 2:16 and 17 speaks nothing of the Sabbath. Fine. The 'short' version of the question, however, is pretty clearly asking, "What is the true worship day, Sunday or Saturday?" This question demands an answer such as "Saturday" or "Sunday" or "both" or "neither" or "it doesn't matter" or "I don't know" or SOMETHING! I was just wondering if you had an opinion about this? You intimated that your pastoral training kept you from making eisegetical statements or promulgating mythical dogma. So, maybe I can take a different tack, and ask you something that you CAN answer without obfuscation. What day do you attend church? Now see, that wasn't too bad! :-) Much easier than a root canal or a liver transplant! Please know that I don't seem to corner the market on sarcasm. :-) You do a fine job yourself! Please know that we are not trying to mean or anything. Those of us that have been around for a while have had to fight tooth and nail for clear Biblical statements. You might say that we desire 'hot or cold' and 'yes or no' answers, because there are so many 'lukewarm' and 'maybe' answers that are not answers. Peace to you in Christ Jesus, charis |
