Bible Question (short): jcsav, What does does Acts 2:41 mean? |
Question (full): If the 3000 didn't receieve the Holy Spirit, what does Acts 2:41 mean "So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls." You said "I never said that speaking in other tongues was a KNOWN language of the listeners or not." ... but I have proven the Bible says speaking in tongues is always a known language to a listener. The word "unknown" is not in the original - KJV added the word. Poto and Cabengo did speak in a LANGUAGE only they knew. Linguists said they did speak in a language ... but have declared what Pentecostals speak IS NOT a language. Linguists also know of other accounts where children have developed their own language. |
