AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:8 ¶ Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away. |
Bible Question: Does the Bible say the 3,000 (Acts 2:41) spoke in tongues? It does say that Cornelius and Co. spoke on tongues when the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out (doesn't say received or filled) on them (Acts 10:45-46). Then in Acts 19:5-6 Holy Spirit came on the 12 and they spoke in tongues ... it doesn't say "gift". These are the only two accounts of speaking in tongues at the time of salvation in Acts. |
Bible Answer: Did the Bible say the 3,000 received the Holy Ghost? The bible do not say that Paul spoke in tongues when he recieved the Holy Ghost. But we find him saying, he spoke more than them all. Acts 2:4 says they spoke in tongues (all those in the upper room) along with Acts 19:5 that makes, Four. Simon saw them recieve the Holy Ghost. If there is no outward manifestation, how is this possible? |
