Bible Note: Shalom Newwine, If baptism is an integral part of salvation (that is, required for salvation) then you are, for all purposes, saying that the Apostle Paul short-changed almost all of the people who heard him preach the gospel because he only baptised 3 people and the household of one of those 3. In short, for all the good writing that Paul did, for a man called to bring the Gentiles to Messiah, he did a sad job, just 3 people and 1 household. Paul states, himself, that he was not called to baptise, only to preach the gospel. He's called to do half of a job? Can you explain that? See 1 Cor. 1:11-18 paying very close attention to verse 18 and also check out 1 Cor. 4:15 - in context is Paul saying these readers have been saved or not? Cheri |
