Bible Note: Dear Lionheart, yes I agree with your analysis. What I am saying is that you and I cannot see another persons heart as God does. He and He alone knows when Lionheart "was saved" and when "Val" was saved. I go by your profession and you go by mine. Now can we see the inner thoughts and mind of each other? No. That is why I say only God knows when and if a person "is saved". We go by the otherward appearance which also is a person's words but God knows each one's mind and thoughts, intentions, genuineness, etc. I can't say I know you are going to heaven because you say you are saved nor you me. What I can say is that you profess Christ. In the final analysis only God knows if you and I have a genuine faith. Faith in God is not a step one, two, three process although we present it that way. Faith is something that happens between God and the person. So many people have been told they are saved because they do this and that and get confused as to what salvation really is. It is an inward act between the Lord and the person. I can't say for sure I will see you in heaven. I can say you said I will see you. Does that make sense? Blessings, Val |
