NASB | Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:4 Certainly not! Let God be found true [as He will be], though every person be found a liar, just as it is written [in Scripture], "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED [by sinful men]." [Ps 51:4] |
Bible Question:
Greetings ! History to be read history.parables to be read as parables.all things written in the bible had some purpose and some spiritual meaning or Gods purpose. Only one person can reveal God's secret.God can use a man for a purpose.but only prophet brings the secret of God AMOS 3:6 all the peoples are telling through us only God reveals ..so only came more than 1000 of denominations. think of these things God was speaking to jews as parables because God doesn't reveal to them. |
Bible Answer: Greetings my friend! If we want to pull Scriptures out of their contexts, we can make them say anything. For instance, Mt. 11:25 says, "At that time Jesus said, 'I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.'" Therefore, any adult who claims to be a prophet must be lying, since Jesus said that God revealed the hidden things to little children! ;-) This is exactly the same kind of twisting that you have done to Amos 3:7. Yes, Amos 3:7 says that God reveals His plan to His prophets, but it does not say that He only reveals it to prophets, or that He only reveals it to one prophet, or that no one else can read His word without understanding it. These are all things you have added to the text. Therefore, it is not God's word. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
