NASB | Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:4 Certainly not! Let God be found true [as He will be], though every person be found a liar, just as it is written [in Scripture], "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED [by sinful men]." [Ps 51:4] |
Bible Question:
Greetings Tim Moran you are wrong.bible can be read.but it is interpreted only by his servants.God reveals his secrets only to his servants who are prophets.prophets only can explain or reveal all the secrets.if not why the revealtion chapters are explained by different people differently.can a person understand it by merely reading with the help of grammer.no they can't.and also disciples were asking jesus why u are speaking in parables to them.he is speaking spiritually.they can understand literally but not spiritually.like other people.Revealtion of jesus christ must come to a person.unless God reveals nobody can know his secret. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Jos 1:8; Psa 1:2, 19:14; Jer 31:33-34; Mat 13:10-17; 1 Cor 1:18-2:15; Col 3:15-17; 2 Tim 2:15, 3:16 ... Tim, pardon the interjection tjkathiresan, please let me interject. You say many things. But are they backed up by the Bible? In particular ... "God reveals his secrets only to his servants who are prophets.prophets only can explain or reveal all the secrets." My answer to why there are differences, is because of the level of study, culture and how in tune they are with God. The latter being most important. I need the help of the original when I study ... even then I am not as studied as my brother Tim. It is not just "reading" ... it takes study (2 Tim 2:15), mediatation (Jos 1:8; Psa 1:2, 19:14 ... read Psalm 119) and memorization helps too. Read 2 Timothy 3:16. Read Jesus' answer to the disciples' question about why He spoke in parables (Mat 13:10-17). This correlates with what Paul wrote (1 Cor 1:18-2:15). Also read Colossains 3:16 ... the context is verses 15-17 (1-17). I also think about the OT (Jer 31:33-34). Searcher |
