NASB | Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:4 Certainly not! Let God be found true [as He will be], though every person be found a liar, just as it is written [in Scripture], "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED [by sinful men]." [Ps 51:4] |
Bible Question:
Greetings! why too many people are going beyond text.because they are not having revealation.they are giving private interpretation. you will teach Revealtion as many other people do. All the things cannot be literally dealt.it leads to lots of confusion. if u are trying to interpret literally it leads to lots of confusion .example if u are interpreting song of solomon u will have to face many problems. and also i will give one small example about this Read Genesis 9:18-26 if u are trying to interpret these verses literally as said in the bible then u will have to face some problems. GOD is the only interpreter for his message not anybody. He reveals to a person and he reveals to the people of GOD. God is choosing only one person for giving his message throughout the scripture.the same message is preached in that day untile GOD comes. Like Noah,Moses,Elijah,Elisha etc., |
Bible Answer: Greetings! Allow me to clarify! By literally, I mean 'as intended'. Therefore, history should be read as history. Poetry should be read as poetry. Parables should be read as parables. 'Literally' doesn't mean that something cannot be symbolic or figurative. However, the text itself will tell us when such is the case. So, the Song of Solomon is a song celebrating married love, ultimately as a symbol of God's love. Gen. 9:18-26 is an historical narrative. However, nowhere does Scripture teach that only one person will be able to understand Scripture or that there are 'hidden' meanings to Scripture which cannot be understood simply by reading the text.
