NASB | Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:4 Certainly not! Let God be found true [as He will be], though every person be found a liar, just as it is written [in Scripture], "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED [by sinful men]." [Ps 51:4] |
Subject: Are all interpretations equal? |
Bible Note: Hank How true! And right you are we have seen it over and over again on the forum, the extent people will go to prove their doctrine. If they can't bewilder you with their mumbo jumbo, they will wear you out with their words and if all else fails begin to redefine words, terms and doctrine to fit their argument. Think of the education we are getting! For 56 years I thought I understood the meanings of words which I have now learned meant something totally different. I’m in the process of going over some legal documents to see if I can apply these new meanings and possibly only pay what I choose. I wonder if the IRS will let me amend my tax form, on the line it says to include “all” income I want apply these new definitions and include only those I choose. What a wonderful world we live in, if we don’t like it we change a definition and make it even better. Isn’t this what the homosexual community did redefining the word “gay” or the abortion advocates redefining the word “choice” or the anti-religious community did redefining the word “fundamental “ or the liberal redefining the word “tolerance”.
