Subject: Let's get back to the question at hand |
Bible Note: Lionstrong, Yes. My wife and I got together and studied this segment Wednesday night and came up with much the same thing. The kind of truth that God reveals about Himself is that through His Divine nature , Attributes and character, He is the God of creation. This is the truth that is within all of us ( as you say we are a part of creation ourselves) so we really do have no exuse. We also managed to answer that other question. "Why does a sinner need to honour God as God, if his heart is to be in the right attitude and spirit to receive the gospel of salvation?" This question I don't beleive was worded very well. If you refer to verses 16-17, the sinner needs to have the FAITH to beleive that God exists. If he is to have that faith then he needs to honour God with faith. It is the faith step that puts the heart in the right attitude and spirit to receive the gospel of salvation. I do appreciate your input even though we may have got off on the wrong foot. I apologise for any antagonising I may have caused and I hope we can continue this forum as I move onto the next segement of Romans. I will also be begining Revelation as well if you are interested.
