Bible Question (short): Is evil in society above bible relevance

Question (full): I believe you b.g.guitar...that's pretty much my take on it, but a friend of mine thinks that certain areas of scripture aren't applicable today because people are more evil...that society has evolve and the bible no longer apply. I think there is nothing new under the sun and the Bible is relevant today. Ro. 1:18-32
