Bible Question:
That still fails to answer the question. Here is how I see it: Assurance seems to have no bearing on maturity or immaturity; certainty is certainty. Either you have assurance or you do not. If my father, when I'm 13, promises to buy me a car when I'm 21, without any conditions and I believe him, my maturiaty or immaturity has no bearing on the promise and, therefore, is irrelevant. It neither proves nor disproves that the car will be given. As such, I fail to understand how experience or growth can give any evidence of salvation and thus give be any form of assurance. Therefore, the question still remains unanswered: How do I know for sure I am saved? Or, another way to put it, how can I be assured now that when I die God will take me? |
Bible Answer: Read John 3:16, John 14: 6, and Romans10: 9 - 13. You will see that Jesus Christ is the only way into Heaven. If you believe that God sent His only begotton son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, that He rose from the dead on the third day, and pray and ask for forgiveness of all your sins , and ask Jesus into your heart and life as your own personal Lord and Savior you will be saved. There is no second guesses, no way of our own works, it is only through Jesus that we recieve the free gift of eternal life in Heaven. |
