Subject: Is their assurance for the future? |
Bible Note: stjohn, I could ask you the same question, you tell me.People fall away everyday, does that mean that their salvation was a sham? Now I dont say one can lose their salvation, but one can walk away from God,we can reject Gods precious gift, but we can come back. One can repent.1 John 1:9. When I say ones salvation will be evidenced by a changed life. I say this in reference to James chapter 2. James addresses the subject of faith most effectively. In most cases the word faith is translated from the greek word pistis. This conotates action beyond verbal or mental acknowledgement. One can only live on ones laurels for so long, God will expose the lie. In closing I'll say this,I am far from being the perfect human being or Christian. I live and serve at God's great grace, mercy and good pleasure.Fortunatly my salvation doesn't depend on what I do or I would've been a dead man a long time ago. In Him, lionheart |
