Hello! I was saved thirty years ago, however I was not surrounded by believers and didn't really understand very much about being responsible for my own salvation or anything at all that had to do with Jesus. So unfortunately, I have spent the greater portion of my life searching and being unhappy and depressed. About four months ago my husband was saved and the changes in our lives has been remarkable. We both smoked and have both quit. He smoked pot nearly as much as he smoked cigarettes and quit that too. I drank wine every evening, several glasses and I have quit that as well except for once in a while a half glass of red wine. We were actually in the process of a divorce when my husband was saved and the Lord took care of that too! We are happily together again and our relationship is better than ever. Neither of us ever wants to look back, in fact my husband is very serious about becoming an ordained minister! God has been so good to us in so many more ways; really just too much to go into here though I would be happy to share my/our testimony further if anyone would like. I am very much still a baby in my walk with the Lord and that is why I have so many questions. My husband and I discuss and study most of my questions, though I like to get other people's perspectives and answers as well. I love the Lord and how He is working in my life and how He is working in my married life and I know that if I lived another 52 years I'd probably still have questions... so THANK YOU for taking the time to answer my many questions. It has been nice being a part of this forum.
Blessings.
