Subject: Is healing a guarantee?? |
Bible Note: punkiedo I never said God doesn't heal. I said all healing comes from God. But I did say that God doesn't always heal. If God always healed Christians would live forever in their physical bodies. Every Christian before you and after you unless they die from accident, violence or trauma has or will die from a disease. To say God always heals is total nonsense there are no thousand year old Christians living on earth today. Faith gets shaken in those that believe, preach, teach God has to heal if only we have enough faith, when they see someone die from a disease. Part of the ministry I’m involved with is dealing with people both lay and clergy trying to make sense out everything after losing a loved one to sickness and having been lead to believe God has to heal. When a loved one does die they are left with nothing. They had believed with all their heart, soul and body God would heal that loved one but then God calls that loved one when home, they are lost. Their faith is shaken to the very foundation, they blame themselves for not having enough faith, the blame their loved one, they blame people around them. Finally they realized what they had been lead to believe just didn't work. Then they begin to wonder what else is wrong. Soon they question everything and many walk away from all religion for a period of time. Some are so hurt, so devastated that what they believed in for so long and so much in hasn’t come to past they never come back to the faith. And that my dear child is heart breaking to witness. Our physical state is important to but what is more important is knowing God loves each of us and He is with us always even in our death. Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints. God is with us when we are sick, He is with us when we are well. He is even with us when we pass from this world into eternity. That my child is not a lack of faith that is reality. EdB |
