NASB | Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed. |
Bible Question: Some say that healing is in the atonement and that all are to be healed and then others say that maybe GOD gives some a disease for a reason. Is healing a guarantee?? I know there are a lot of scriptures saying that it is guaranteed we just have to ask, but there is a scripture in 2 timothy 4:20 that says "...he left tropimus sick...." If it is his will that everyman be healed why was that one man left unhealed??? |
Bible Answer: Psalm 103 (KJV) 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; *Does he forgive ALL your iniquities? If your answer is yes then he heals ALL of your diseases. Mark 16:18 (KJV) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. It says they SHALL recover. Not they MIGHT. James 5 (KJV) 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Once again it says they SHALL be raised up. Not they MIGHT. But in this verse it is a question of FAITH. Jesus said Luke 18:8 b (KJV) Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? It is a question of faith. You can say I believe, but do you have the faith? |
