Jesus also asked the question isn't it lawful to do good on the sabbath. The sabbath is a feast therefore you can't fast on the sabbath unless it was ordered by the Lord. Jesus also realized that it was hard for people to praise him with afflication in their bodys. Sickness is a burden we are to lay aside every wicked imigation and burden that so easily besets us. "...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us..." Heb. 12:1 KJV You write: "Sickness is a burden we are to lay aside every wicked imigation and burden that so easily besets us." Really? Perhaps you could tell us: What is the book, chapter and verse in the Bible where it says that. This is not at all what the Bible says in Hebrews 12:1. Not even close. Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, |
