1 | If you live right, you are rewarded? | 1 John 1:9 | cast net | 134266
If we only look at the BIBLE we can see in the old and new testament how people were rewarded for their right living. Some times it was spiritual, physical and other times it was financial. Sometimes it was all three. In my own personal life i know that i have missed many rewards from GOD simply because i was not spiritualy mature enough. Didn't have a clue what they looked or felt like. In reference to the last part of your question about a believer who does not confess their sin will pay the wages of sin, i totally agree with that.I base that with all the dealings GOD had with HIS children in the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT.

Greetings, before you base your opinion on the way that God dealt with HIS children in both Testaments, how did He save them? Was it based on their obedience? Salvation is not a reward for good works or right living. No amount of right living will earn us God's forgiveness. His forgiveness is GIVEN based upon our faith in what Jesus has DONE. There is no difference between the Old and New Testament - without faith it is impossible to please God. We are justified by faith. Romans 5; Heb 9-11 Our forgiveness is wholly a work of God and not conditional upon "right living." As believers,we suffer the consequences of our disobedience, but we don't lose what God has freely given by His grace. We can't get any more forgiveness than we received through Christ at the moment of belief.
