Subject: WHO pays the wage? |
Bible Note: Greetings Dalcent! There is a possible middle position. That position could be summed up as 'acts of sin' cannot effect our salvation, but the gift of salvation can be rejected. This would seem to do justice to the Scriptures quoted by both sides. I would be curious as to how you would respond to the following passages from your perspective. Jude 24 - "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen." If we can cease to be 'saved' by commiting an act of sin, can God really keep us from falling? And, Rom. 8:39 - "neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Is our salvation a hoped for future event, or is it an accomplished fact? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
