NASB | 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. |
Subject: WHO pays the wage? |
Bible Note: Greetings Kalos - I'd appreciate your input on this answer to my question: Who pays the wage? The wages of sin is death. WHO pays the wage? God does. He gives to sin its wage or earning - death. It is paid in full. We either accept Christ's subsitutionary attonement through HIS DEATH or we accept death (eternal separation from God)as the wage (recompense) for our sin. In BOTH cases, GOD pays the wage (death) and we recieve it. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor 5:21 Blessings, mommapbs |
