1. Therefore, feelings/experience give evidence of salvation? 2. What about those who felt Jesus and after some years fell away? From your analogy, it seems we must assume they were genuine believers. 3. If it is suggested that those in the example above were not true believers in the first place, that is, their feelings/experience has deceived them into believing something that is not true, how can another be assured that what they have tasted is the real thing? |

Too much going on in the head. Take that mind captive to Christ and trust in Him. Romans 10:8-10 "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. |

It does not seem that the questions are difficult to understand. In addition, if genuine faith requires an assurance that one is saved, it is not unreasonable to expect an answer; moreso, and answer would be vital. | ||||||
