1 | What is required to pass the test? | Matt 7:21 | lionheart | 186470 | ||
Lookin4ward2Heaven, Yes only God truly knows our heart and yes we can know for sure that we are saved. The question that arises is where does one stand in relation to what God's Word says of salvation. Mk 16:16,Jn 3:16,Acts 2:38,1 Jn 2:23,5:1,5. A changed life will be evidenced by a changed life and a willingness to keep God first in their life,Mtt 6:33,Lk 14:26,27. Read all of 1 John, think about Heb 12:1 We have all the evidence we need. In Him, lionheart |

Doc, 1. Then is it safe to assume that change does not give uncontested assurance of salvation; that is, one cannot know by his change of lifestyle, even changes that are "more Christ-like" or "more perseverant in the faith", that he is saved? 2. Please explain "more assurance": If one knows for certain they are saved, why would "more assurance" be necessary? |
