1 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | EdB | 13712
Kimberly you missed my point. I said God will provide and that God does heal. What I really said was if these men could heal like they claim why aren’t they visiting the hospitals, or going the Aids clinics and healing them? Jesus did! If they can heal like they claim why don’t they do it out on the street as a sign to unbelievers? Instead they do it in the church qnd on TV and who sees Christians to whom it soon it becomes entertainment. I know I have seen it. I have seen the Christians rush to get the best seat so they can see the miracle. I have also seen these same Christians out in the parking lot rushing past everyone to be the first at the restaurant. I see real miracles every day where men and women preach Jesus Christ in the streets and without laying on of hands or standing in lines blind eyes are opened and lame walk. But you won’t see this on TV these people that are healed and made whole are poor, dirty and smelly, totally unwelcome in most churches. They can’t pay and none is asked yet God provides for these men and women to be able to preach everyday. But there is a difference these men and women go home at night to houses like you and I live in. Not a gated communities of palaces where your TV preachers live. I said the message these men are preaching is designed to have you and others support their ministry. If God always repaid back 100 percent then these guys shouldn't need your money they should be able to raise it on their own. Why do they have to bleed the Christians dry? I believe if you sow into God’s work, God is faithful and repays, He owes no man, however I think it may come as blessings or in ways you or I haven’t conceived of. But to say if you send 10 dollars to me God will pay you back 100 in false teaching at it’s worst. Yes I know of what I talk about in Haiti, I can assure you God blesses each and every Christian there in spectacular ways but the richest of them would trade place with you financially in a heart beat. I also know of what I talk about in some of these other countries. You couldn’t preach what these men preach without getting chased out of town. These people are living and dying for Christ and to tell them what these men teach in an insult to their suffering. Like Morgan61 said if what these guys preach works why don’t they send the 10 dollars to you? Again I beg you turn of the TV. Pray that God will open your eyes to His truth and sit down and read your Bible. Don’t read it as these guys have said it says but read it letting the Holy Spirit show you the truth. |

2 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | HeirofGod | 13818
You are still missing my point. You are focusing on the fact that I sent them the 25.00 and got an increase. What I'm telling you is since it's worked for me before TBN. It works after TBN. You all have been so caught up in why don't they send us and why don't these TV prachers do this. Well Why don't you do something about your faith and read your Bible. I know what the word says. God is not slack concerning his promises. I also read what Tim wrote about context of scripture, I agreed with him about Jeremiah, but this I cannot go along with. If 3John2 is not a promise to us then Romans 8:28 is not either. Every promise GOd gave to his elect applies to us when we become the children of God. Look I am sorry that you all don't believe in seed-time and harvest but it has worked for me every single time I've applied it which is often. It hasn't been me sending a TV preacher some money because that has only happend the once. But I give in my ministry and to local ministries all the time. God gives an increase every time. It may not be in money but it is an increase. Get off of TV preachers becasue if it weren't for those TV preachers most of the world would not be saved. Now for the healing, These men are not claiming to be able to heal. God through them are healing these people. As far as arms and legs growing out, I haven't seen it, but some of the evangelists in my church have seen it at thier hands. I have seen people who are deaf recieve their hearing and demons cast out. The Bible says that the Holy spirit has given us an unction and we know all things. When I read the Bible I read it as all truth and from God. Not only have I recieved Christ into my life I have recieved the infilling of the Holy Ghost and I know that is scripture just like I know seed-time and harvest is scripture. NOw you need to seek God and have the Holy Spirit show you the truth. I digress. It's not because of TV that I believe, because I didn't have Cable when I learned, It's because of my own experience and the teaching in the BIBLE that I believe. Like I've said for other things, this has nothing to do with saving souls, our main objective. But may I ask you this, Are you a Child of The King? If you are, you know that the children of Kings are Princesses and Princes and they are rich, in abundance, wealthy, not lacking. Thus will I be as a Child of The King of Kings. Since we will not agree on this let's not talk about it. Love in Christ |

Greetings Kimberly! There is too much to discuss with this issue, so I want to focus on 2 John 3:2. You said, "If 3John2 is not a promise to us then Romans 8:28 is not either. Every promise GOd gave to his elect applies to us when we become the children of God." I would agree that every promise does apply to the children of God. However, 3 John 2 is simply not a promise. Read it again, "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." Where does it say, "God promises us that we will prosper?" It doesn't! It isn't even a statement of fact. It simply a friend writing a friend and wishing him well. However, look at Rom. 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This is a statement of fact. He isn't wishing it to be so. He is stating that God works for good in all things for those who love Him. This is the problem I have with some many of these false teachers. They take Scriptures out of context. They focus on some minor point, usually misunderstood, and make it something minor - like 3 John 2. Here is the problem with this teaching: God never promised that we would all prosper. He promised that He would meet our needs. He told us that we did not need to worry about what we would eat, drink, or wear. But, we are His to do with as He sees fit. If it is His will to make us prosper, He can and will do it. But, this simply isn't His will for everyone. However, these false teachers prosper by running a pyramid scheme. There are many, like you mentioned, you have bought into the teachings because they hope to prosper and don't. But, the guys at the top, with the TV "ministries" rake in the dough. Look at this way Kimberly, this teaching causes us to focus on money rather than God's glory. God didn't put us here to glorify ourselves. He put us here to glorify Him, no matter how much we make or what we drive. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
