1 | If you live right, you are rewarded? | 1 John 1:9 | cast net | 134266
If we only look at the BIBLE we can see in the old and new testament how people were rewarded for their right living. Some times it was spiritual, physical and other times it was financial. Sometimes it was all three. In my own personal life i know that i have missed many rewards from GOD simply because i was not spiritualy mature enough. Didn't have a clue what they looked or felt like. In reference to the last part of your question about a believer who does not confess their sin will pay the wages of sin, i totally agree with that.I base that with all the dealings GOD had with HIS children in the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT.

I'm looking for someone at random to review this website: http://hector3000.future.easyspace.com/greber.htm I found it by accident and have not read it all myself. When I make comments or quote Scripture that apparently mirror Jehova Witness beliefs, much anger is manifested by prominent Forum members. In fact, they'll probably get first crack at this post! I'm just trying to break the stifling environment of this Forum that is restricted by severe prejudice, which of course is hatred based on ignorance. Hope you'll check it out. |

Greetings Survior! No one is angry at you, nor does anyone hate you. This is a Christian Bible Study Forum. The JW's are a cult. We have had many cult members from various cults attempt to 'take over' this forum with their false doctrines. So, when it appeared that you might be a JW, you were politely asked if you were or not. You have refused to answer. We love you my friend. And, if you are in fact involved with this cult, I would love nothing more than to see you come to a saving knowledge of the truth. As for the site, I checked it out. It basically argues that those who oppose the NWT use the fact the this Gerber was involved in spiritism against them. This may or may not have occurred. Either way, it has nothing to do with the quality of the translation. All I can say is that I do not base my view of the NWT on the practices of this one man. I base my view on several things. 1) The 'translators' of the NWT refuse to identify themselves. Thus, no one knows if they are even qualified to translate anything. 2) The 'translation' itself does not appear to be a 'real' translation but a loose paraphrase of the KJV. 3) The 'translations' of the NWT are not in accord with actual Greek grammar. 4) And finally, the real experts in Greek all reject it. If rejecting false translations and false doctrine is to be considered a 'stifling environmnet', I suspect that this Forum will remain stifling for sometime to come. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Dear Tim: I'll address you, but this is for all your cronies as well. 1Cor 1:26-31: "For you behold his calling of you, brothers, that not many wise in a fleshly way were called, not many powerful, not many of noble birth; but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put the strong things to shame; and God chose the ignoble things of the world and the things looked down upon, the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are, in order that no flesh might boast in the sight of God. But it is due to him that you are in union with Christ Jesus, who has become to us wisdom from God, also righteousness and sanctification and release by ransom; that it may be just as it is written: “He that boasts, let him boast in Jehovah.”" Greek scholars, Smeek scholars! You sound like the religious leaders after Jesus death: "When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished." Hopefully, you'll come to the same realization as they: "and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." (Acts 4:13) I'm sure you don't accept everything that the atheist evolutions, some of the most learned and intelligent men on the planet, say. It should not surprise you when you know: "Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness." (2 Cor 11:14,15) Identifying the true Christian faith was a challenge almost since its infancy, and it's only gotten more difficult today. Jesus himself told how to identify his disciples and it wasn't by their education, dress, etc. Only they have God's Holy Spirit and its fruitage. Everything else is counterfeit. Blind guides is what they are - hypocrites that know nothing and their works reflect this fact. Knowledge puffs up but love builds up. I've heard a lot of mock humility on this Forum, but little actual. "Your brother in Christ," "Speaking the truth in love." Come on! Who really is your brother? How can it be me when we don't have the same Father? Jesus knows his sheep and the Father draws those he chooses, so I won't pray for you. I do truly love you as God does, even in your present state of darkness - wanting you to be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. Yes, I am a minister of the Most High God, Jehovah. Adios! |

Greetings Survivor! You call us angry my friend, but you respond to my declaration of love for you with insults! :-) Let me see if I understand your position correctly. Are you saying that those who do not even know Greek or Hebrew are better qualified to translate Scripture than those who do know them? This is the heart of the issue my friend. The NWT refuses to announce either who or the qualifications of those who 'translated' the NWT. Why? My quess is that they simply are not qualified to translate anything. I certainly am not saying that one must be a Greek scholar to love the Lord. But, if one is going to proclaim that one is qualified to translate from Greek into English, one should at least know the language. ;-) My friend, you also wrote: "Yes, I am a minister of the Most High God, Jehovah." Yet, you deny the very words of Jehovah my friend. How can Jesus be 'a god' when Jehovah says that there is no other god besides Him? Is. 43:10 - "'You are my witnesses,' declares the LORD, 'and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.'" How can Jesus be 'a god' when Jehovah Himself says that there are no other gods, neither before nor after. Yet, the JW's teach that Jehovah created Jesus as 'a god'. Who is right my friend - the JW's or Jehovah? Finally, you wrote: "Knowledge puffs up but love builds up. I've heard a lot of mock humility on this Forum, but little actual. "Your brother in Christ," "Speaking the truth in love." Come on! Who really is your brother? How can it be me when we don't have the same Father?" I consider everyone my brother my friend. That doesn't mean that I agree with your doctrine though! ;-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
