1 | Scriptural reference to Book of Jasper? | 1 Thess 4:17 | EdB | 89898
Geprge It is the book of Jasher, I may have misspelled it. The reference can be found in Josuha 10:13. and again in 2 Samuel 1:18. However the name isn't important, there is no indication this book is scripture it could very well be a secular history book common to the time. Or even a biography. But because it is mentioned in the Bible some people assume it must be a book of scripture. Don't worry about it remember if God is great enough and powerful enough to create this whole universe He is also big enough and great enough to insure all the correct books are in His Bible. Also this is old testament references that existed when Jesus used the Old Testament. If a book was missing or not included and it should have been, Jesus would have said so. EdB |

2 | Scriptural reference to Book of Jasper? | 1 Thess 4:17 | GeorJoy | 89904
Dosen't bother me. That's what I said about the "Apocro-whatever." It is interesting to know though. Ed, I'd bet you've forgotten more than most of us herein will ever know... Personally, I have enough to learn as it is, without having to worry about one someone didn't figure was important enough to mention more than twice in the other 66. One could question and speculate all night. In the end, they wouldn't be any closer to the truth than in the beginning. What a waste of time that one could have used to study what is inportant. Thanks George |
