Ed: I agree with you, "Let’s stop this junk of saying the Bible was translated wrong and stick with the issue." I'm sick of the same old tired false argument that all the translations were flawed or a deliberate deception. The idea is just plain crazy. You write: "Now your saying all the translators that worked on the KJV, NJKV, NASB, NIV, RSV, and NLT and thousands of others are either idiots or in cahoots to bring forth a mistranslation of this passage." Sadly, many others on this Forum have been saying or implying the same untruth since the beginning of the forum. When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn? kalos |

Kalos, I've no earthly idea where this unearthly idea came from that every translator since the King James Bible was published has been a demon-possessed pervert at worst or simply out to "get us" at best. Frankly I'd never heard of such a thing in my "innocent" pre-forum days. It rather reminds me of this eccentric old woman in a James Thurber story who was so convinced that someone was out to "get her" that she got up nights and threw all her shoes up and down the hall to scare the intruder away. --Hank | ||||||

Hank: The accusation that the translators were a passel of demon-possessed perverts or simply out to "get us" is the same accusation the people of the time made against the translators of the KJV. Thirty years from now they'll be saying the same thing about the translators of whatever version dares to usurp the (by then) time-honored NIV. Great comparison to the eccentric old woman in the Thurber story. :-) kalos |
