1 | Knowing God's Secret | Rom 3:4 | Morant61 | 81763 | ||
Greetings! The main problem with Revelation is that too many people try to go beyond what the text says and to 'spiritualize' it. The letter itself is quite clear, but it was never intended to give every detail of all future events. So, when people today try to identify the anti-christ, or assign current events to verses in Revelation, they are going beyond what the text says and are prone to err. I am currently teaching a series on Revelation for a young adult Sunday School class and everyone is amazed at how understandable the letter actually is once one understands the kind of letter that it is. The main point of Revelation can be summed up in one very simple sentence: God is in control! By the way, you keep mentioning a secret. I may regret asking, but I'll bite: What is this secret? Greetings Tim, my brother and friend ... I took so long to post, that you beat me. I am waiting for his secret. I'm praying for you and others, as you proclaim the Word on Resurrection Sunday ... that the mediation of your heart and words of your mouth is acceptable to God and many hear, then believe and call on Him.
