1 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | HeirofGod | 13864
NO it doesn't show alot about me. It shows that you don't believe God. I don't care about having alot of Money, but if God has promised it why not obtain it. He said he would make us the head and not the tail, lenders and not the borrowers. I am tired of telling people God will supply all of my needs and God promised to make my way prosperous and I'm in debt. This is not God's will for our lives. TV ministry is not what I want to do. But God told me and my husband that we would have a Global ministry, my heart is in saving souls not traveling around the world, although this is my purpose. I am sorry that you think I'm money hungry, but I'm not. If you believed the Word of God they way I believe it, you would accept what he is trying to give. I have lived the high life and I was alone, God brought me all the way back down to nothing to get me saved and now I'm on my way back up the right way. Don't fault me for wanting every kind of blessing that God wants to give me. Believe me I want more from God than his monetary riches. I want my mother and father to be saved, my whole family. In our immediate families (my husbands mother and sister, and my mother and father) my husband and I and my sister are the only ones who are saved. They go to church, they believe in God but they are not believers as we are. I want to be able to bless GOd with the music of my hands, but I can't remember how to play the piano. I want to be able to walk in all the faith of God. I want to have all the peace of God. These things I'm learning to have as well as prosperity. I have not completely obtained any of it. So please don't judge me from what I write in a note. You don't know me, but God does, and since I know he promised me what I'm looking for what you believe dosen't matter. Don't take this the wrong way your input is appreciated but your accusations are not. Until now I have enjoyed discussing healing and prosperity with you all. I don't enjoy being judged. Again, since we won't agree, let's not continue to discuss it.
2 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | glory777 | 13874
Kimberly- Got on this late, but I do believe God is a God who heals - if He wills it. It has to be left in His hands. Pray for healing, have others pray for your healing and, if your church believes in annointing with oil (James 5:14), as mine does, be annointed with oil. Then leave it in God's hands. Even Paul was not healed and Timothy suffered with stomach problems. I think their faith was stronger than any of ours, plus they had first hand experience from the ones who saw and knew Jesus. If giving meant you got back more money, why wasn't Paul rich? I'm sure he tithed and gave more than his tithe, yet he worked as a tent maker to make ends meet. I believe totally in the healing power of my God, I believe He can do healings miraculously, through doctors and medicine, or just through the way He made our bodies to heal. I also believe that sometimes He chooses not to (as I sit here with bronchitis!) but if we totally trust Him, He will give us the strength to go through whatever that we can give Him the glory. I believe that giving to the Lord (and I personally believe in tithing - but that has been discussed before and I won't go into that again - look it up on another thread), and giving more than what is required will result in being blessed by the Lord, if you give because you feel the Holy Spirit leading you to give and it is a joy - not because you are expecting to get benefits from it. It may not be a financial blessing, but you will be blessed, in the area that you need (not want). I am concerned about some of the preachers on TV misleading the viewers, also. What happens when people give and give and don't get back what they expect? Do they get a barrel of guilt or do they give up on God? I've seen this happen and I do believe this is the work of the enemy. Don't believe everything you hear. Use your own common sense, too, and don't just read what they tell you. Dig for yourself. God gave us a brain and scripture even commends the Bereans for searching out the scriptures. They didn't even take the apostles word for anything - they looked at it for themselves. God's peace. 3 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | HeirofGod | 13881
I think alot of people are misunderstanding me. The only way to get a harvest in any thing is to plant a seed. I didn't say that it had to be in a TV ministry. If I planted a seed in any of your ministries, I would get a harvest. If I planted any amount of money I would get a monetary harvest. If I planted souls into your ministry(by sending sinners into your church) I would reap winning more souls. The bible says that if you give it will be given unto you good measure pressed down shaken together and running over. The prosperity "doctrine" as everyone is calling it is just the fact that God's children will not be poor. NOt saying that you will be falling over rich (like Donald Trump), but that you will have enough for you to take care of your family and enough to give to others. If you are walking or taking the bus everyday but you are able to drive. Especially if you are a "King's kid", prosperity says that the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Meaning that The enemy has taken from the Saints of God things like peace, love, salvation for our families, jobs, homes, and cars. This means that a sinner is out there driving a car that God meant for you to have you just need to recieve it. A sinner is out there living in your house, just recieve it. I'm not saying that it's going to be a thirty thousand dollar car, I'm just saying that if you don't have one, that's a need. These days you almost need a car to get around, especially if you have children. The Bible also says if you seed the Kingdom of God first all other things will be added. Your basic needs are met, but if you continue to yeild to God to fulfill your purpose then God will add all other things you want and need to you. Deu. 28 tells us all the blessings we get by being children of God. I told somebody else on here that I am not being money hungry and I'm not trying to be rich, All I want is what God has promised me. HE has promised it to all of us who abide by his laws. Prosperity is a gift of God to his people and a testimony to him. Everybody that's telling me to search the scriptures for myself must not be reading what i'm writing. I am not going by what TV preachers are telling me because to be honest I have only heard one of them preach prosperity and that's Creflo Dollar. I gave to TBN because I was prompted by the Holy Spirit. Have you ever given an offering to a church you visited? Were you ever blessed by a message you saw on TV? If so isn't that the same thing as what I did? I know some of you out there probably have given to feed the children, or the christian childrens fund or something like that. I have too. Having faithn that the money I send will help to the Glory of God. I don't do anything for me. I want to help further the Kingdom, so I do whatever is necessary. Not only to TV, but at my home church and surrounding churches. I hope all of you wake up and see what I'm saying is true not because somebody on TV said it but because IT IS SCRIPTURE. Now Again, since we are not going to agree on this subject and nobody is getting my point and have started saying my heart is in the wrong place then let's stop talking about it.

For God so loved the world, He GAVE. For we so love God, we give. God gives because He loves, not to get. We must also give because we love, not to get. In Christ Jesus, retxar |

Again, you are not reading what I'm writing with the mind that you are going to listen to my point. You just wrote something that I said was my whole reason for giving. I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to give to the Glory of God. But since you said we don't give to get, let's see here. When you give a Christmas present don't you expect to recieve something. You can't say you don't because everybody likes to get gifts. We received the gift of salvation because God said we could have it, it was for us. We are the righteousness of God (saints), we need to start acting like it. Back to giving and getting. The reason most people don't get anything is because after they give they don't expect God to reward them. God said he was a rewarder of those who dilligently seek him. The first part of the scripture says that whoever comes to God must believe that he is. Now if he is God and he is a rewarder, why is it wrong for his children to be rewarded for doing something he told them to do. Plant seeds in good ground. I would not plant a seed in a ministry that is not bringing forth good fruit. Plus I expect to be rewarded for keeping the commandment. If you gave a family a house full of groceries because God told you to but that was your last hundred dollars, you did it but you were not sure what God was doing. Wouldn't you expect God to reward you for that. Well I expect God to reward me for keeping his Kingdom moving. Keeping his TV shows on the air, keeping local ministries from going under while trying to get kids off the street. This is where the saints of God come in. Yes he can make a sinner give his money to the Church, but he shouldn't have to. We should be giving the Church so much that they don't have to borrow anything. I wish you all understood, since you don't I am not going to further this discussion when it is an attack on my belief and on scripture. I'M STILL STANDING on the TRUTH. With Love and Peace, Kimberly Jones |

6 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | retxar | 14544
I’m sorry, when I give a Christmas present, I don't you expect to receive something in return. I have given Christmas presents before and later the person got me something because they felt obligated or something. I hated that! The Word says greater is he who blesses than he who is blessed. Guess what? The Word is true! I felt a whole lot better being a blessing than being blessed! Let God be true and every man a liar. If God rewards me it will be out of His love for me, not by me doing the “right” thing and somehow He being obligated to me. The Word says God desire obedience, not sacrifice. I work each and every day. I get paid once a week. If my employer came up to me and said, “I’m sorry, we can’t pay you anymore”. I would say, “I’m sorry, I can’t work here anymore”. If my dad called me up and asked for my help, I would be there in a flash. Because I love him, I would go without expecting anything in return. However, he might reward me greatly, because he loves me , but it does not matter to me either way. If I started expecting something each time I helped him out, he would start calling someone else, not me. He will continue to let me help him, if I continue doing it out of love. If he rewards me, it will be out of love, not obligation. My employer rewards me out of obligation not love. If we treat God like our employer, we will only serve Him if He continues to “pay” us what we think we are worth. If we serve God like a Father, we serve Him out of love not obligation. We are living according to the Spirit and we don’t have our minds set on the things of the flesh (Romans 8:5). If we start treating God like our employer instead of our Father, don’t think He will continue to use us to our fullest potential. God does bless His children in ways above and beyond what we could ever expect or imagine (Eph. 3:20), but it will be according to His will and love, not our formulas. In Christ Jesus, retxar |

7 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | HeirofGod | 14658
Back up a minute, I was trying to show you that God wants us to expect a harvest after planting a seed. Every thing works in seed-time and harvest. It's just like cause and effect. If you plant a seed in good ground (whatever kind of seed) you will receive the same kind of harvest. IF you plant kindness you will reap kindness, if you plant corn you will expect a corn crop-but not the next day. Only God is that fast in rewarding if he so chooses. That's all I've been trying to say during this whole discussion is that God works on a seed time and harvest table. If your church needed to build a daycare center, what would they do. God says we will lend and not borrow. Church revenue is supposed to come from tithes and offerings-a seed is an offering. If you give to God he will give you more to give. This is how everything works. We need money to live in this world, right. That's why we get jobs. We pay tithes to keep the curse off of us and because we Love God. THis is a requirment. Giving is also a requirement, but he said it shall be given unto you pressed down shaken together and running over. HE also said that what a man sows that he shall also reap. So if you sow money you will get money, If you so hatred you will get hatred. I think we all need to study seed-time and harvest it is mentioned in scripture. IF you want to know where, I will find it and tell you. In Christ, Kimberly |

8 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | Norrie | 14660
Kimberly, I understand what you're getting at. I studied that for 18 yrs too. But don't get too caught up in waiting for a harvest. Expect it but don't act like it's the main objective. I guess that's where the faith ministers lose it. What you're saying is true, but then people start focusing on the harvest instead of Jesus, you know what I'm trying to say? Stay focused on Him. :)
9 | Divine Healing, True or False? | Matthew | retxar | 14671
Stay focused on Jesus!! Good word Norrie! Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Jesus Lives! |
